Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year in junior high school. Her brothers include Gregory, her elder brother as well as Evan. It was her first position in the field. The model was employed from age nine to sixteen. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting techniques for three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors to receive this kind of education. She got her first part in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move out to Los Angeles. After that, she was the lead in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her own stunts, establishing herself as an athletic actress.
